Drunk mom passes out at the wheel with 5-year-old daughter trapped in car: Police

A Florida woman was arrested after authorities found her passed out drunk in the driver’s seat of a vehicle with a 5-year-old girl in tow.

According to an arrest report obtained by WFLA, 20-year-old Sarah Nisse was discovered after the little girl answered a phone call from her father. Officials said the dad and daughter then began FaceTiming and while he was unable to wake Nisse by yelling out her name, he was able to see where the vehicle was parked.

Once the father arrived at the scene, located in a parking lot on Success Drive in New Port Richey, he got his child out of the car before calling 911.

As fire rescue personnel arrived and finally woke Nisse up through the use of pain stimuli, authorities said she didn’t speak to them—but instead gave them the middle finger.

Police said the intoxicated woman was then taken to a local medical center, where she “appeared to be heavily intoxicated,” according to the arrest report. Three hours after the alleged incident, authorities stated she blew a breath alcohol concentration (BRAC) of .276 and .272.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, this isn’t the woman’s first run-in with the law. Police said she had sex with a 15-year-old in 2015. She’s currently on probation regarding the case.

Nisse was subsequently arrested for child neglect, DUI, and violation of probation.
