Bill Cosby: Vandal scribbles ‘SERIAL RAPIST’ on disgraced comedian’s Walk of Fame star

Police are investigating after someone reportedly scribbled the words “serial rapist” in black marker on Bill Cosby’s star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department reportedly said they were informed of the vandalism at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday. However, Officer Mike Lopez said it’s unclear when the message was penned, according to the Los Angeles Times.

KTLA reported that the star was cleaned by Tuesday morning. A police spokesperson told ABC News that security cameras are in the area and that they will be checking them during their investigation.

The incident comes as Cosby, 81, awaits sentencing for drugging and molesting Andrea Constand in his Philadelphia home in 2004. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 24 and 25, according to USA Today.

Multiple outlets noted that this is the second time the disgraced comedian’s star has been damaged. In 2014, someone repeatedly wrote the word “rapist” on his star as he faced multiple allegations of sexual assault.
