Idaho police say an investigation is underway after infant twin brothers died Friday, despite efforts by officials to save them, the Times News reports.
Twin Falls Police Lt. Terry Thueson told the newspaper that a 911 call was placed at 2:18 p.m. with a report that the unidentified babies were unresponsive.
First responders who reported to the scene, located off of the 200 block of Morningside Drive in Twin Falls, tried everything possible to save the twin boys, Thueson said. However, their efforts were unsuccessful and the twins tragically passed away.
Thueson added that a thorough death investigation into the case will be conducted. The deaths of the babies pose no community threats, according to police.
This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates as information becomes available.
