WATCH: Possible sighting of abducted girl Jayme Closs caught on surveillance 1,700 miles away from home [Video]

Jayme Closs remains missing after her parents were found murdered in their home

A surveillance video at a Miami gas station captured footage of an SUV with Wisconsin license plates pulling into a parking lot on Monday night, and a witness thinks a missing Wisconsin girl may have been inside the vehicle.

Jayme Closs, 13, of Barron, Wisconsin, is missing and her parents are dead, but police aren’t sure yet who killed her family or where she is. As CrimeOnline previously reported, a witness in Miami said they saw someone who looked like Jayme in Miami with two “bearded well-dressed” men in their 30’s, but police have not confirmed whether the lead was valid.

The girl was reportedly spotted at the Sunflex gas station with the men off of  Northwest 27th Avenue and 11th Street, in a black Ford Explorer with Wisconsin license plate number, I6OWER. The men appeared to be around 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9-inches tall, weighing around 200 to 250 pounds, according to the witness.

Jayme’s best friend opened up on Tuesday and insisted she would have never left on her own.

She would never run away,” friend Ashlea told ABC5. “She was really, like, not the type of person who would do that….Whoever has her should really just give her back. There’s a lot of people who really care about her and love her.

Neighbors reporting hearing gunshots coming from the Barron County on early Monday morning, but said the home of Closs family was typically quiet.

“I hear one shot and the second shot was even louder yet,” neighbor Joan Smrekar told ABC27.

“It actually sounded like a car backfiring or something quite large,”  Joan’s husband Tom Smrekar explained.

Jayme was reported missing after her parents, James Closs, 56, and Denise Closs, 46, were found dead a little after 1 a.m. on Monday morning inside their Barron County homes. Authorities haven’t released details on how the girl’s parents died but reported “gunfire” involved. Officers with the Barren County police found the victims after responding to a 911 call from the home.

Investigators are treating the girl’s disappearance as an abduction, likely at gunpoint. They’ve spoken to people at Jayme’s middle school and checked her social media, but so far, have found nothing that would indicate any trouble in the home or at school. Jayme not considered a suspect in her parents’ death.
