Heather Locklear: Actress reportedly in rehab following release from hospital

Actress Heather Locklear has reportedly admitted herself into an inpatient treatment facility, where she’ll stay for 90 days following her two-week stint under a psychiatric hold.

According to Radar Online, Locklear, 57, entered rehab after an alcohol-fueled meltdown led to her hospitalization last month.

“She’s now in rehab,” a source told the tabloid. “Everyone hopes she will get a lot of it this time.”

TMZ reported that Locklear was placed under a psychiatric hold after her therapist and lawyers called EMTs to her California home. The call was reportedly placed out of concern for her mental health.

November’s incident reportedly marked the second time in recent months that the “Melrose Place” actress had been placed on a psychiatric hold.

According to Page Six, Locklear underwent a psychological evaluation in June for threatening to shoot herself because she believed her boyfriend was cheating. She was hospitalized for three days—only to be arrested four days following her release for allegedly battering an EMT.

Radar Online reported that Locklear entered rehab in July, shortly after the incident with the EMT. She reportedly left rehab in October, after completing three months of treatment.

This is reportedly the actress’ third stint in rehab this year.

“Addiction is ferocious and will try to take you down,” Locklear wrote in an Instagram post in September. “Recovery is the best revenge. Be kind to everyone you meet, your light just might change their path.”
