MISSING! Police unsure whether toddler girl is alive or dead after dad allegedly claims she drowned in bathtub

Authorities in New Mexico are searching for a 1-year-old girl whose father allegedly told his mother that the child had drowned in a bathtub two weeks ago.

Per KRQE, Anastazia Zuber was last referred to on December 18, when her father, David Zuber, 26, informed his mother of his daughter’s death. At the time, the father and mother, Monique Romero, 23, reportedly had the 1-year-old along with their two other children in Farmington.

Despite the father’s alleged admission, police are uncertain whether the toddler is alive or endangered. The Albuquerque Journal reported that police are searching for the entire family.
