Wife remains missing weeks after husband allegedly murdered her parents, brother, & 3 family dogs

Authorities in Florida reportedly found a body buried in the yard of a home that’s presumably connected to last month’s murders of a missing woman’s parents and her adult brother.

WFLA reports that Jamie Nicole Ivancic, 21, remains missing weeks after her husband, Shelby John Nealy, 25, allegedly killed her parents, Richard Louis Ivancic, 71, and Laura Ann Ivancic, 59, her brother, Nicholas James Ivancic, 25, and three family dogs at a Tarpon Springs home. The slayings are believed to have occurred on December 19 or 20.

On Friday, police apprehended Nealy in Ohio while allegedly driving a car stolen from where the Ivancics were found dead. He has since confessed to committing the murders, according to the news station.

Following up on a tip made by police in Tarpon Springs, authorities reportedly found a body buried at a Port Richey home on Sunday afternoon. The body hasn’t been identified as Jamie; however, neighbors told WTSP that she lived there at one point with her husband and two children, ages 2 and 3.

Residents describe the family as struggling and claimed they hadn’t seen them in at least a year. One source told WTSP news station that they cared for a kitten the family left behind.

Tarpon Springs Police Major Jeff Young said during Friday’s news conference that Nealy was arrested shortly after neighbors called authorities, claiming they saw him digging a hole near his in-laws’ residence. A young child was reportedly in his presence.

Tarpon Springs police confirmed that Nealy’s currently facing at least three first-degree murder charges. People reported that the couple’s two children were found safe at an Ohio residence. The Department of Children and Families reportedly has custody of the children.
