Police hunt for killer of pregnant New York real estate agent found stabbed, bleeding in apartment building hallway

Police in New York City are continuing to search for a suspect in the murder of a pregnant real estate agent while the victim’s family calls for justice.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Jennifer Irigoyen was found bleeding to death and suffering multiple stab wounds in the hallway of her Ridgewood, Queens, apartment building early Sunday morning. The 35-year-old pregnant woman was later pronounced dead at the hospital, and her unborn baby did not survive the attack.

WCBS News Radio reports that investigators are looking to track down the woman’s boyfriend, who has not yet been identified. The building where the woman was found stabbed reportedly has a security camera that faces directly into the hallway where Irigoyen was found.

Building super Lisa Raymos told the New York Post that the footage showed the attacker stabbing the victim in the stomach.

Another witness told the newspaper they saw and heard Irigoyen screaming for help as the assailant dragged her from her apartment, down the building stairs, and into the hallway.

“He’s got a knife! He’s going to kill the baby!,” the victim screamed, according to the witness who spoke to the New York Post.

According to the WCBS report, a witness saw a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt running from the scene.

The victim’s cousin, Yeseira Irigoyen, posted a message addressing her deceased family member on Facebook.

“I know your no longer physically with us but your spirit will always live in us! You will be deeply missed. Rest in paradise my beautiful cousin. May justice be served!” Yeseira wrote.
