Prison for perv caught sexually assaulting sleeping child in bedroom

A New Jersey man accused of sexually assaulting a sleeping child with a woman has admitted to his crimes in court years later.

Jaime Mauricio Leon, 34, pleaded guilty last week to aggravated sexual assault and possession of child pornography for his role in the 2017 incident. WKXW identified the female suspect as Olga M. Diaz, 32, and reported that she’s facing various charges, including aggravated sexual assault, child endangerment, and manufacturing child pornography.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said a passerby had walked past the window of a Long Branch residence on June 16, 2017, and saw Leon and the woman sexually assaulting the child. The passerby reportedly contacted law enforcement the same day.

Prosecutors alleged the woman knew the victim. However, the relationship between the two suspects remains undisclosed.

“Additional investigation revealed further evidence that Leon and the female suspect had planned the attack on the child, and that both were in possession of child sexual abuse images,” they said.

Federal and local authorities arrested Leon at his job a week after the reported assault. Accepting a plea deal, he will be ordered to serve 25 years before he’s eligible for parole. He’ll also have to register as a sex offender upon his release.

Sentencing is scheduled for August 25.
