Police in Louisiana arrested a woman Sunday for driving while under the influence of drugs after she reportedly couldn’t tell them who the president of the United States is.
The Monroe Free Press reported that Ouachita Parish deputies responded to Finks Hideaway Road in Monroe, where they discovered a black four-door vehicle in the ditch and Ali Nicole Sims in the driver’s seat. Police claimed Sims’ speech was slurred, she swayed as she stood, and she couldn’t answer basic questions.
One of those questions was reportedly, “Who is the president of the United States?”
While Sims claimed she wrecked her car while trying to answer her phone, she allegedly admitted to taking two or three Lortab pills (painkiller) and smoking marijuana an hour before the crash, according to a police report obtained by the news outlet.
Sims submitted to a blood test, which resulted in her being charged with DWI and a careless operation charge. While she was booked into the Ouachita Parish Jail, it’s unclear whether she remains incarcerated.
