DEVELOPING: ‘Beyond recognition’ battered body found stuffed in trash can identified as mom of four

Authorities in Pennsylvania are investigating after a woman’s body was reportedly found stuffed in a garbage bin Wednesday morning.

While Philadelphia police haven’t publicly released the name of the decedent, relatives who spoke with KYW identified the woman as Kioma Diehl, 36. The body, which was reportedly discovered by a Republic Trash Services employee, was said to have been wrapped in plastic and inside a garbage bag.

Relatives claimed Diehl’s body was beyond recognition and that her face was bruised.

It’s not immediately clear how or when she died. No arrests have been made.
