A former high school teacher in Florida, currently serving an 8-year prison sentence for sending sexually-explicit images to an underage girl, was sentenced to an additional four years on Tuesday for having sex with a minor student.
The Naples Daily News reported that Brock Smith, 32, was also sentenced to two years of sex offender probation which will be added onto his 10-year probation sentence. Smith, who worked at Naples High School for six years before his arrest in 2017, was jailed after admitting that he sent lewd pictures to a 17-year-old girl.
Earlier this year, Smith was sentenced to eight years in prison for transmitting harmful material to a minor and using a computer service to seduce, solicit, lure or entice a child for pornography.
Smith, who also was the high school’s football coach, sent a naked picture of himself to an underage student via Snapchat and asked for one as well. The married father-of-two also had sex with another underage student in a bathroom where she worked, according to WINK.
The time Smith has already served will be waived in his sex with a minor case. However, he will receive credit for all the time he served in May’s conviction.
