Megan Fieramusca and Heidi Broussard

HEAR IT: Heidi Broussard’s friend pieces together who suspect is in real time during live interview

A live interview taking place as Texas investigators were searching a Houston home on Thursday for Heidi Broussard and her newborn baby turned in a shocking moment for Broussard’s friend Caressa Nolte as she realized the police were searching the home of a mutual friend they’d all known for decades.

“That’s Magen, her best friend that met her at church camp with me,” Nolte said to gasps from the interviewers.

Magen Rose Fieramusca is currently in custody at the Harris County Jail facing kidnapping and tampering charges. Additional charges are likely after an autopsy revealed that Broussard, whose body was found in the trunk of a car parked behind Fieramusca’s home, was strangled.

A baby matching Broussard’s newborn’s description was found inside the home.

Nolte said she believed that Fieramusca had been pregnant at the same time as Broussard and had just had her own baby, named Luna.

“She’s 15 days old, 16 days old,” Nolte said. “Her and Heidi are best, best friends. She was there in the room when Heidi had Margot.”

Broussard’s baby, Margo, was born in late November. She and the baby disappeared on December 12 after she dropped her son off at school, prompting an intense search.

As Nolte was being interviewed, news broke that investigators from Austin, where Broussard lived, were at the Houston home. The interviewers described the scene as it happened for Nolte, who was on the phone with no internet.

Chatters commented, looking for information on the address and the owners. The chatters uncovered that Christopher Green, the owner of the home, had a baby registry with Magen Humphrey, a name Fieramusca also goes by. Nolte was shocked

“Oh my god. What?” she said, interrupting the interviewers.

Nolte said the girls met at camp when they were 11, 24 years earlier.d

“She would not be there,” Nolte said of Broussard. “I’ve talked to Magen every day, all day. She’s sick over this. She’s just had a baby and she’s breastfeeding.”

“A girl?” the interviewer asks. “Magen just had a baby?”

“Yes,” Nolte replies. “Her name is Luna.”

The interviewers and Nolte trade notes, surprise and realization were evident in their voices.

The following day, police announced Fieramusca’s arrest, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
