3-week-old baby boy found dead in a cooler in a Dallas motel room

Texas police are looking for information about a newborn baby boy found dead in a cooler inside a Dallas motel room.

The police department said its detectives were contacted by Child Protective Services and asked to conduct a welfare check on a 3-week-old infant at the motel on South Lancaster Road just off Interstate 20 in south Dallas.

The investigators found the baby boy in a cooler and are awaiting word from the Dallas County Medical Examiner regarding cause of death.

No other information was immediately available, but police asked if anyone had any information to contact Detective Corey Foreman or Sgt. Vaughn at 214-275-1300.
