LAX employee takes suicide leap amid holiday travel rush at airport: Police

A California airport employee who fell to their death on Sunday night had taken their own life, authorities believe.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement that an LAX employee, a 27-year-old male, was found “beyond medical help” at the airport’s Tom Bradley International Terminal and pronounced dead at the scene.

KABC reported that the man fell approximately 100 feet. Los Angeles Airport Police confirmed to KTLA that the LAX employee died by suicide. However, they declined to disclose the employee’s identity or his position.
