Anitra Gunn: Boyfriend strangled college student on Valentine’s Day, warrant reveals

The boyfriend of a Georgia woman who was found dead on Tuesday allegedly strangled her on Valentine’s Day

Citing an arrest warrant read in court on Monday, WMAZ reported DeMarcus Little, 23, manually strangled Anitra Gunn, 23, in Crawford County sometime between 2:30 a.m. and midnight on Valentine’s Day.

Little is facing malice murder in connection with Gunn’s death, as CrimeOnline previously reported. The Fort Valley State University student was reportedly last seen on February 14 at Little’s aunt’s home in Crawford County. The following day, Gunn’s Chevy Cruze was discovered with its bumper missing a block from her apartment in Fort Valley.

On Tuesday, Gunn’s partially-covered body was discovered on the side of a two-lane road in Crawford County, near her missing bumper.

While authorities have not disclosed a motive, Little was arrested last week for allegedly breaking the windows of Gunn’s apartment and slashing her tires on February 5. He was charged with criminal damage to property in connection with that incident.

A hearing is scheduled for April 24. Little remains held at Peach County jail.
