A 36-year-old Texas woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly slit her four year-old son’s throat with a knife and then tried to kill herself.
Ritika Rohatgi Agrawal’s husband found her wandering around their Sugar Land home Saturday morning with cuts to her neck and wrists and their son dead in an upstairs bedroom, KHOU reported.
Agrawal was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive.
Police also said her injuries appeared to be self-inflicted, according to KENS5.
The husband, who was not identified in reports, called police when he arrived home about 10:30 a.m. and saw blood throughout the house in the Gardens of Avalon neighborhood of the affluent Houston suburb.
No further details were provided, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
