Jeffrey Epstein’s gal pal Ghislaine Maxwell fears being murdered behind bars, friend says

“Millionaire madam” Ghislaine Maxwell thinks convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was murdered in jail last year — and she’s afraid she’ll meet the same fate.

A family friend told The Sun on Sunday that they were in regular contact with Maxwell, 58, while she was hiding out in her posh digs in New Hampshire before her July 2 arrest.

“Everyone’s view including Ghislaine’s is Epstein was murdered,” the friend said. “She received death threats before she was arrested.”

Other friends said Maxwell hired bodyguards after the death threats.

A court filing before her bail hearing last week — she was denied bail — said that Maxwell had hired a security company “staffed with former members of the British military” to keep her safe behind the locked gates of the New Hampshire house, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

Maxwell has been charged in a six-count indictment alleging a sex trafficking scheme with Epstein involving three unnamed underaged girls between 1994 and 1997. She’s being held in Brooklyn.

Epstein, 66, was found hanged last August in his Manhattan jail cell, where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. The medical examiner ruled his death a suicide, but questions have persisted about the circumstances of his death as well as irregularities at the jail.

Maxwell pleaded not guilty to the charges against her. She faces up to 35 years in prison if found guilty in a trial that won’t begin until July 2021 at the earliest.
