‘Pose’ star’s sister killed in Alabama shooting

A 24-year-old Alabama woman found shot to death in her vehicle in a Birmingham park was the sister of “Pose” star Ryan Jamaal Swain.

Birmingham police found Raven Lynette Swain dead of multiple gunshot wounds in Underwood Park on the city’s southside at about 7 p.m. Tuesday, AL.com reported. Her vehicle was lodged in the foliage.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin said that at least one person who lived nearby reported hearing shots fired, and someone called 911.

“Right now our detectives are canvassing the area,‘’ Mauldin said. “We don’t have many details of what took place.”

AL.com said several shell casing markers were seen in the parking lot.

“We don’t know if this took place somewhere else and her vehicle came to a stop here or if it happened here,‘’ Mauldin said. “We are working hard but we need people to come forward with information.”

Ryan Jamaal Swain, who plays Damon Richards-Evangelista on the hit FX TV series, posted on Instagram that he “cannot even imagine life without you and I won’t” and asking for privacy for his family.

Ryan, 26, and Raven grew up in Birmingham, where Raven still lived.
