MISSING: 7-year-old girl and her mother vanish on trip to Koreatown in LA

Los Angeles police are asking for help finding a 7-year-old girl and her mother who vanished during a family trip to Koreatown, NBC Los Angeles reports.

Ruby Alvarado and Xyla Aguirre, 24, were last seen in the 3100 block of West 6th Street around 9 a.m. Saturday, LAPD said.

The family is concerned, police said. Ruby does not live with her mother, who was visiting on Saturday.

Ruby is described as Hispanic, about 3 feet 6 inches and 40 pounds with brown hair and eyes. When she was last seen, she was wearing a pink and blue dress that said “LOL” on the front.

Aguirre is also Hispanic, about 5 feet 3 inches and 110 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

LAPD asks that anyone with information to contact Olympic Area Detectives at (213) 382-6628.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247).
