DEVELOPING: FBI investigating TikTok video possibly showing teen missing since 2014

Federal and state authorities in Arkansas confirmed Thursday that they are investigating a video that possibly shows a missing woman who disappeared in 2014, when she was 15.

Stuttgart police said in a statement to KATV that they received dozens of calls about the video and investigators are looking into the matter. Arkansas State Police and the FBI are reportedly also investigating the video.

The video was apparently first posted to Facebook but gained traction after a user called plush1plush2 reposted it TikTok. It shows a man and a woman in the back of a vehicle; the man and other people off-camera can be heard talking and laughing as the woman — with blackened eyes — remains silent and stares at the camera.

It is not immediately known when and where the unidentified woman was filmed.

Some online users noted the girl in the video resembles Cassie Compton, who vanished in 2014 when she was 15 years old. KATV reported that Compton disappeared from her home in Stuttgart shortly after she attended a demolition derby in Dewitt with a family friend.

There have been no confirmed sightings of Compton since her disappearance, according to the news station.
