Bruce Springsteen: ‘The Boss’ busted for DWI in home state [Reports]

Singer Bruce Springsteen was arrested last fall for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and other related charges, according to reports.

TMZ reported that on November 14, Springsteen, 71, was cited for DWI, reckless driving, and consuming alcohol in a closed area at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook. Additional details were not made available, and it unclear why the singer’s arrest was not publicized until now.

Reports indicated that last year’s incident in New Jersey was Springsteen’s first run-in for DWI.

“Springsteen was cooperative throughout the process,” Gateway spokesperson Brenda Ling said in a statement issued to NJ.com on Wednesday.

TMZ reported that Springsteen is due in court in the next few weeks. A spokesperson for the “Born to Run” singer did not respond to NJ.com’s request for comment.
