MISSING: 16-year-old girl sneaks out of grandparents house, disappears

Sheriff’s deputies in southern Maine are looking for a 16-year-old girl who sneaked out of her grandparents home sometime Saturday night and has not been seen since.

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said Brittney Wilson “took a number of belongings with her” and is believed to have been picked up an unknown vehicle.

They said the teen has family ties in the area of Jay, Maine, and friends in Augusta. She “has not been in contact with any known friends of family since Saturday night,” police said.

Wilson is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 165 pounds with hazel eyes. She has natural brown hair that is currently dyed black. She was last seen wearing dark-colored leggings with holes and a dark-hooded sweatshirt.

Police asked that anyone with information contact Det Michaud or Lt Kane at 207-882-7332 or email bkane@lincolnso.me.
