FOUND SAFE: Missing Colorado Teen Located; Suspect in Custody

Update 8:55 pm: A 13-year-old Colorado girl reported missing Tuesday night has been found safe, and an endangered child alert for her has been deactivated, the Aurora Police Department said.

Ta-Kyrah Blackman was believed to have been with 41-year-old Navarro Cathey, who was arrested in Utah. Charges against him are pending, the Colorado Springs Gazette said.

The Gazette said the teen met Cathey, who is from California, online and had been talking with him prior to her disappearance, according to police.

Colorado authorities are looking for a 13-year-old girl they say may have been abducted or otherwise enticed from her home.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued a Missing Endangered Alert for Ta-Kyrah Blackman, who is believed to be with 41-year-old Navarro Cathey, possibly somewhere near Vail, the Aurora Police Department said.

Blackman is described as 4 feet 9 inches tall and about 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green and black sweatshirt and white floral pants at about 2 p.m. on Tuesday, about a block from Lansing Elementary School in Aurora.

Cathey is described as 6 feet tall and about 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Aurora police also described a suspect vehicle: a dar blue 2001 Ford Crown Victoria with California license plate 8XMT336. The car has a spotlight on the driver’s side and tinted windows.
