MISSING: Georgia Teen Texts Mom to Say She’s With Family, but Won’t Say Who

Georgia authorities are looking for a 16-year-old girl who hasn’t been seen since Saturday morning at her home.

Clayton County Police said that Christie Howard left her Riverdale home at about 11 a.m. and later contacted her mother by text, saying she was safe and with a family member.

She would not, however, say which family member she was with.

Christie is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and 100 pounds, with brown eyes and long, straight black hair. She was last seen wearing a blue Nike hoodie with white letters on the front, light blue jeans, and black backpack with “Lady Raiders Volleyball” on it.

Police asked that anyone with information should contact them at (770) 477-3747.
