Search Under Way for 19-Year-Old Louisiana Man Missing Since Wednesday

Family members and police in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, are desperately searching for a 19-year-old man who disappeared last week and hasn’t been seen since.

Donovan Jones Jr, last seen just after 1 p.m. on February 16, is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 140-150 pounds. He goes by the nickname “DJ,” Zachary police said.

The family is offering a $10,000 reward to “Bring DJ Home.”

“We want our son home,” said Julie Burks, Jones’s mother, according to WAFB. “I can’t stop. We won’t stop. God has given us the strength to continue.”

Friends and family members have been canvassing the area around their Zachary home, but so far they’ve found no information.

Sunday’s search ended with a candlelight vigil at New Pilgrim Baptist Church.

“All we ask is that the community just step up and help us out,” said the young man’s father, Donovan Jones Sr. “We just need help in bringing our son back home.”<

Anyone with more information is asked to call the information hotline at 225-328-4095 or 225-439-6889, email BringDJHome@gmail.com, or call Zachary police at 225-654-1922.
