Denver Thieves Make Off With Box of HUMAN HEADS

Denver police asked for help this week finding the person responsible for the theft of a box containing human heads.

The theft, from a freight company truck parked in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood, took place between 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to police.

The thieves broke into the box truck and made away with a dolly and a blue and white box labeled “Exempt Human Specimen,” containing heads used in medical research, KUSA reported.

The 20 x 15 x 18 inch box belongs to Science Care, a company that handles donations of bodies for scientific research, according to KDVR.

Neighbor’s in Denver’s largest residential neighborhood wondered if the thieves knew what they were getting or if the contents of the box came as a surprise.

“Pretty shocking. I guess I don’t see too many strange things happening around here usually, but you know you never know,” said Isaac Fields. “Wow! I would have been so terrified.”

If someone finds the box, police asked that they call DPD at 720-913-2000. Anyone with other information should call call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or visit metrodenvercrimestoppers.com.
