Estranged Husband Kills Wife, 4-Year-Old Daughter, & Mother-in-Law in Triple Murder-Suicide: Cops

The father, who was going through a divorce, had tried to drown his daughter prior to the shooting

A Texas man allegedly shot and killed his estranged wife, their 4-year-old daughter, and his mother-in-law before turning the gun on himself

KTRK reported that the four bodies were found at a Spring apartment on Thursday after the gunman’s wife did not come to work. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the husband and wife had been going through a divorce in recent months.

According to KPRC, neighbors said the man previously tried to drown his 4-year-old daughter. He also slashed his wife’s car tires, Gonzalez alleged.

A preliminary investigation suggests the mother and child were heading out for work and school when they approached the suspect, who opened fire. A semi-automatic pistol was found near his body, KPRC reported.

“The opportunity was at hand and he carried it out,” Gonzalez commented.
