Triple Murder-Suicide Leaves Family of 4, Including 2 Teen Girls, Dead

Four members of an Alabama family, including two teen girls, are dead following a triple murder suicide in St Clair County Sunday morning.

Deputies from the St Clair County Sheriff’s Office along with officers from the Riverside and Pell City Police Departments responded to a call about a suicidal person shortly before 10 a.m., AL.com reported.

Law enforcement found a man armed with a handgun outside home, who shot himself as officers arrived.

He was identified Sunday afternoon as William Huntoon Vance, 54.

Inside, officers found Vance’s wife, 51-year-old Florence Diane Vance, and the couple’s two children, ages 16 and 13. They were all dead with gunshot wounds.

“Everybody knows everybody in this town, it’s something that was not expected at all,” Riverside Chief of Police Jake Heath told WBRC.
