Teen Girl Studying in Dining Room Gets Struck by Stray Bullet

A 15-year-old girl in New York is recovering after reportedly being shot at her home on Tuesday.

According to New York Daily News, the teen was studying in her dining room when a shooting occurred across the street. A stray bullet is believed to have blown through her front door and hit her in the right shin.

The girl was hospitalized in stable condition. Nearly 20 shell casings were recovered from the scene, which is in Queens.

No arrests have been made. The girl is not believed to have been the intended target.
