3 Dead in Georgia Domestic Shooting Incident

Three people are dead and a suspect in custody in Georgia after an apparent domestic dispute.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Wayne Delk said that investigators have not yet determined the suspects relationship to the three victims, identified as Donnell Peaks, 63; Janice Peaks, 60; and Cameron King, 38.

Delk said police were called shortly after noon on Tuesday and found all three victims with gunshot wounds, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Peakses were pronounced dead on the scene, and King died shortly after he was taken to a hospital.

Officers found the suspect, 37-year-old Marcus Smith, near the home. He was charged with murder and aggravated assault.

“This incident appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute, and there are no other suspects involved,” Delk said Wednesday.

Neighbors told WSB that Smith was related to the three victims.

Jail records show Smith’s address as the same home where the shootings took place.
