On Saturday, Texas authorities charged a 17-year-old boy for March’s fatal shooting of a woman who was killed while visiting her son’s grave.
Christian Weston is accused of fatally shooting Yolanda N’Gaojia, 52, on March 22 at Calvary Baptist Church Garden of Memories Cemetery in Killeen. KWTX reported that N’Geojia was killed while visiting the gravesite of her son, Amir N’Gaojia, for his 22nd birthday.
In addition to murder charges, Weston is also charged with unlicensed carrying of a weapon. Killeen police said in a statement that the weapons offense is unrelated to the March 22 slaying.
Weston is reportedly awaiting transport to the Bell County Jail. Police have not disclosed a motive in Yolanda’s shooting death.
