An investigation is underway in Michigan after a girl was found dead on Tuesday, hours after she was reported missing.
Though details are scarce at this point in time, Michigan State Police Lieutenant Kimberly Vetter said the deceased girl was found in a field in Saginaw, about a block from the home she was reported missing. The case is being investigated as an apparent homicide, according to MLive.
Vetter said they do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public.
