Chicago police are looking for a man who offered a mother cash for her 5-year-old daughter and then tried to snatch the girl by the hair.

Police said the incident took place just before noon on Thursday on West Fullerton Avenue on the city’s northwest side, WLS reports.

The mother and the girl got away from the man and called police.

He’s described as 20-25 years old, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin beard and bright red hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, red shorts, and a black hat.
