‘Tire Fire’ in Knoxville Turns Out to Be Woman’s Body; Police Investigating

Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found on fire last Saturday night in Knoxville, Tennessee.

The Knoxville Fire Department initially responded just after 10 p.m. to a call for a tire fire near Sharp’s Ridge in North Knoxville. But once the fire was extinguished, they found the body and called Knoxville Police in to investigate, police said.

Police have identified the body as that of Brandy Geisler, 34. They’re treating Geisler’s death as suspicious but have not yet determined how she died.

The Regional Forensic Center is conducted an autopsy.
