BREAKING: Quinton Simon’s Mom Charged With Missing Toddler’s Murder

The mother of a Georgia 1-year-old boy who vanished in early October was arrested on Monday for his presumed murder.

Chatham County police said they do not expect to arrest anyone else other than Quinton Simon’s mother, Leilani Simon, 22, who was taken to Chatham County Detention Center pending a bond hearing. Quinton’s body has not been found as of Monday, but WSB-TV reported that authorities believe the toddler’s body was dumped in a dumpster and transported to a local landfill.

Quinton was last seen at his Savannah home on October 5. As CrimeOnline previously reported, Leilani allegedly told cops that her boyfriend was the last person to see the toddler. She allegedly also claimed his biological father took him, but his alibi eliminated him as a suspect.

It is unclear what prompted the arrest of Quinton’s mother. Chatham police are expected to provide updates later today.
