8-Year-Old Girl Missing in Ohio With Parents, Believed to Be in Danger

An endangered missing child advisory was issued overnight in Ohio for an 8-year-old girl  believed to be with her parents, who “fled their home.”

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office said that Elena Kalvitz “has not been seen recently,” and has not been at school ore brought to children’s services as requested three times, WOIO reports.

“The parents have fled their home and Elena cannot be located,” the advisory says. “The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is concerned for the safety of the child since she has not been seen recently.”

Elena is described as 4 feet tall and 55 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. The parents are identified as Jessica Lynn Downing, 32, and Gregory Kalvitz, 43.

Downing is descried as 5 feet 6 inches tall and 140 pounds with black hair and blue eyes, whild Kalvitz is said to be 6 feet tall and 175 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The sheriff’s office said they could be traveling in a white 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 with Ohioiplate JJB1149 or a red 2016 Buick Encore with Ohio plate HKD5833.
