The Adairsville Police Department said the incident took place just after 8 p.m. in the parking lot of Blue Agave restaurant when 64-year-old Stanley Jarrett got into an argument with his adult son and shot him.

David Jarrett, 40, was taken to Atrium Health Floyd for emergency surgery and is said to be recovering in stable condition.
