Missing Woman Found During Traffic Stop; Suspect Speeds Off

Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a suspect who fled a traffic stop at a high rate of speed after a woman in the car indicated she was being held against her will.

According to WBRE, troopers stopped the car in Berks County just before midnight on February 10 for multiple traffic violations and took the woman out of the car when she alerted them to possible criminal activity.

The driver, said to be about 45 to 50 years old, gave the troopers a false ID and then took off.

State police said the 34-year-old woman had been reported missing to the state police barracks in Wilkes-Barre earlier that evening.
