Georgia Authorities Searching for Infant, Man with Diagnosed Mental Illness

A Mattie’s Call has been issued in Georgia for a 9-month-old baby girl and a 38-year-old man diagnosed with a mental illness.

A Mattie’s Call is Georgia’s alert system for missing elderly or disabled people.

Family members said Chastin Brinkley borrowed a truck and left with baby Iva Murray late Friday night in the Ellenwood area but never returned. The family called police shortly after 11 a.m. on Saturday, WAGA reported.

Brinkley’s phone is going straight to voice mail, police said.

Brinkley is described as 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black jeans, a green and black checked sweater vest, and black slippers. Baby Ivay has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing jeans and a gray jacket.

They were in a gray, 2010 GMC Sierra truck with a Georgia plate number TCM0250.

Anyone with any information should call 911 or the Clayton County Police Department at 770-477-3550.
