Buster Murdaugh Files Police Report After New York Post Snaps Photos of Him in Home

On Sunday, Buster Murdaugh filed a police report after a publication posted photos showing him inside his South Carolina home.

The New York Post published photos of Buster, 26, behind some window blinds at his condo in Hilton Head, about an hour from his family’s property where his father, Alex, murdered his mother and brother, Maggie and Paul, in 2021. According to WJCL, Buster later filed a report in Beaufort County in which he claimed his Ring doorbell camera filed a “suspicious” vehicle outside his home on Saturday.

Buster claimed that he believed someone inside the vehicle took his picture and that the New York Post published his photo.

“By Saturday night, the redheaded Buster was spied through a crack in the blinds of his Hilton Head condo, while his girlfriend, Brooklynn White, left with a friend to walk the couple’s dogs,” the publication wrote in their story.

Meanwhile, Beaufort County police wrote in their report that they ramped up patrols in the area and encouraged Buster and his girlfriend to contact them if they spotted additional suspicious activity, according to WJCL.

The reported incident occurred a day after Alex received two consecutive life sentences for his wife and son’s slayings. Prosecutors said they still plan to try him on 99 other charges, which primarily stem from fraud he allegedly committed when stealing funds from his clients and former law firm.
