Dad Shoots at Naked Roommate Who Got in Bed With Teen Daughter

A Florida man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly shooting at his two roommates.

Dayne Miller, 44, and his two roommates, who are married, were reportedly drinking at their Cape Coral home before Miller shot at the pair through a bedroom door. Miller told a 911 dispatcher that he shot through the closed door because one of his roommates had been naked in his teen daughter’s bedroom, according to the Fort Myers News-Press

A roommate allegedly told cops that he drank too much earlier in the night before mistakenly going into the bedroom of Miller’s teen daughter, where she was sleeping. The roommate said he got into the bed with the teen and fell asleep, the Fort Myers News-Press.

According to the news outlet, the teen eventually woke up and found the sleeping man next to her. She alerted Miller to the naked man but did not claim a crime had transpired.

At some point, the roommate’s wife woke up her husband and told him he was in the wrong room. The couple went to their bedroom shortly before Miller banged on the door while screaming, “I’ll kill you,” according to the Fort Myers News-Press.

Fox News reported that Miller then fired his handgun into the floor three to four times. Police found shell casings in addition to bullet holes in the roommates’ bedroom door.

The Fort Myers News-Press reported that Miller rented a room to the couple.

Miller was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bond was set at $20,000.
