FOUND SAFE: Kentucky Police Seek Help Finding Missing 2-Month-Old Girl

Update: A 2-month-old girl allegedly taken by her non-custodial mother has been found safe, and her mother is in custody on warrants obtained in the case, Ashland Police said late Tuesday.

Police in northeastern Kentucky are looking for a non-custodial mother who walked away from a facility in Ashland late Monday night with her 2-month-old daughter, Mylee.

Kayla Simpson, 27, is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall with black hair and blue eyes, according to the Ashland Police Department. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a royal blue shirt, and she has a pierced upper left lip.

Police said a light-colored pickup truck was seen leaving the facility at about the same time. It was last seen going the wrong way on Central Avenue.

Police asked anyone with information to call 606-385-3273 or 911.
