3 Arrested for Deadly Georgia ‘Sweet 16’ Party Shooting

Georgia police have arrested three people in a shooting earlier this month at a Douglasville birthday party that killed two teenagers.

Samuel Moon, 15, and Aj’anaye Hill, 14, were fatally shot on March 5 at the Sweet 16 party. Several other teens were wounded.

Douglas County authorities said the shooting was gang-related and that Moon and Hill were not the intended targets.

Sheriff Tim Pounds named the suspects as Lamar Coleman, Chase Terrance McDowell, and Chance Terrell McDowell.

Pounds said the three have been charged with mass murder, aggravated assault, and aggravated battery, and may face gang-related charges in the future.

The sheriff’s office had previously announced a $40,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for the shooting.
