Former Victim Advocate Planned to Sexually Abuse 8-Year-Old at Hotel

Last month, a Virginia woman was arrested for allegedly arranging to meet an 8-year-girl to sexually abuse her.

In February, Eleanor Hoppe, 45, allegedly met an undercover FBI officer on a fetish website and corresponded about “taboo parenting.” Prosecutors said Hoppe then sent the agent a topless photo of herself and a video of a man apparently raping a minor, according to the Daily Progress.

At some point, Hoppe allegedly agreed to travel to sexually abuse what she believed was the man’s 8-year-old daughter. The pair were to meet at a hotel in Warrenton and carry out the abuse, the Augusta Free Press reported.

Hoppe, who was arrested at the hotel on March 16, claimed she was there to prevent the abuse. However, she said she did not alert law enforcement — and a search of her vehicle turned up sexual lubricant, according to the Augusta Free Press.

Hoppe reportedly has two children. Her LinkedIn profile indicated that for two years she worked as a victim-witness advocate for the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney, where she “offered resources and referrals to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and violent crimes.”

On Tuesday, Hoppe pleaded not guilty to distributing child pornography, enticing a minor, and attempting to transport a minor with an attempt to engage in sexual activity. She remains jailed without bond.
