Florida Realtor’s Doctor Sister Admits Strangling Her: Cops

A well-known Florida realtor was found dead in her home this week, and her sister has been charged with her murder.

A police report said that Charee Howard, 39, called 911 and told the dispatcher she had just killed her 54-year-old sister, Sherry Lynn Howard, by strangling her, the Tampa Bay Times said.

Police said Charee Howard, a licensed osteopathic physician, made the call at about 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The sisters lived together at a home on Newton Avenue South, and no one else was home at the time.

Officers found Sherry Lynn Howard’s body just inside the front door.

Sherry Lynn Howard worked for Keller Williams real estate until last month. According to her LinkedIn page, she was an independent real estate consultant at the time of her death.

Charee Howard a member of the 2023 class of Leadership St. Pete, a program of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

The sisters were very involved in St. Petersburg community activities, particularly through the Chamber of Commerce.

Police have not said what they believe was the motive for the crime. Charee Howard is charged with second degree murder and remained in jail on Friday, according to jail records.
