Ted Lasso Star Jason Sudeikis and Ex Olivia Wilde Go on the Offense in Courtroom War With Nanny the ‘Mooch’

Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde have filed to have a former nanny’s lawsuit against them moved from a Los Angeles court to private arbitration in New York.

The couple, who split in 2020, told TMZ that they’re dismayed “that this private matter continues to play out in the press.”

“Our focus has been and will continue to be to steadfastly protect our family in the face of harassment of any kind,” they said. “We are confident that the evidence brought forward will affirm our position to summarily dismiss this case and bring our family peace.”

Ericka Genaro filed suit against Sudeikis, the star of “Ted Lasso,” and actress and filmmaker Wilde for wrongful termination, claiming the couple dumped extra duties on her plate during their break-up and that Sudeikis fired her on the spot when she told him she was taking a medically necessary break.

But Sudeikis and Wilde say that they doubled Genaro’s salary at the end of 2020 and that she wasn’t fired — she resigned. Further, the couple said, they paid for her and her dog to stay at London’s Rosewood Hotel for weeks after her resignation and that she was reimbursed for travel charges from London to the United States.

Further, the stars said, Genaro breached her contract by dishing information to British tabloid The Daily Mail because she was upset they wouldn’t pay her “tax free,” The New York Post said.

Genaro worked for the couple from 2018 to 2021 and seeks punitive damages and attorney’s fees in her lawsuit.
