Son Set Dad’s Girlfriend on Fire as She Jumped Out of Second-Floor Window to Escape

Last week, an Ohio man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his father’s girlfriend and lighting her on fire.

According to WLWT, Robbi Robinson Jr.,23, allegedly knocked out two of the 50-year-old victim’s teeth. The battered victim reportedly tried to flee after being lit on fire by jumping out of a second-story window, where a neighbor found her and called 911.

“I see one of my neighbors laying in the grass, and she looked like she was covered in dust. So I come running over, and her immediate action was, ‘He set me on fire,'” the neighbor told WLWT.

Fairfield Township police arrested Robinson, who was reportedly wearing a winter coat despite it being 80 degrees.

According to WLWT, the victim told police that Robinson beat her before dousing her in gasoline and hurling a flame at her. However, in bodycam footage, Robinson is allegedly heard telling police that he does not know what happened to her.

Fox News reported that the woman suffered second-degree burns to half of her body and she was placed in a medically-induced coma.

Authorities have not disclosed a motive. Robinson, who is charged with assault and aggravated arson, remains jailed on a $200,000 bond.
