GRAPHIC: Teen Livestreamed Murdered Girlfriend in Pool of Blood Before Turning Gun on Himself

A North Carolina man reportedly shot and killed his girlfriend on Wednesday before turning the gun on himself.

Nasir Scott, 18, may have livestreamed on Instagram after fatally shooting Tatiana Haywood, 18, at her home in Fayetteville. The Fayetteville Observer reported that Scott was pronounced dead after he was discovered at the scene with a gunshot wound that was apparently self-inflicted.

The alleged livestream does not show Scott but someone behind the camera can be heard breathing heavily while walking around a home. Seconds later, the camera pans over to a woman lying in a pool of blood in the fetal position. The person filming is also seen throwing a handgun onto a bed.

Officer Alexandria Pecia confirmed to The Fayetteville Observer that a graphic video was circulating on social media and they were working to have them taken down.

Cumberland County Schools spokesperson Lindsay Whitley told the news outlet that Haywood was set to graduate from Douglas Byrd High School next month. She said Scott was a former student who “chose to leave” on May 10, weeks before the apparent murder-suicide.

Officials have not yet disclosed a motive.
