Security Footage Shows Missing Woman’s Boyfriend Wearing Gloves While Dumping Items from Her Car

On Friday, South Carolina police announced that they have arrested a man in connection with the unsolved disappearance of his girlfriend who was last seen in May.

Casey Young, 44, spoke with family on May 15, a day before she failed to show up for work at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Cell phone records indicated that her phone died after she returned home from work on May 15 and it was never turned back on, according to WHNS.

The news outlet reported that Young’s Infinity G-37 was found in the parking lot of Windsor Place Apartments, which is three miles from her residence. Surveillance footage allegedly showed Young’s live-in boyfriend, Da’ron Collins, wiping down Young’s car — while wearing gloves — and walking to a dumpster to discard miscellaneous items.

WYFF reported that the surveillance footage was played in court on Friday.

Police claimed Collins left his phone at home in an attempt to hide his whereabouts. They also alleged that a review of security footage at the couple’s shared home uncovered that several videos were deleted and that the camera had been unplugged around the time of Young’s disappearance last month.

According to WHNS, Collins claimed he and Young got into an argument and Young left their home. He allegedly stated that he had not seen Young since the row but he stayed home to pack up her belongings.

Young has not been located. As of right now, Collins is charged with obstruction of justice and grand larceny. His bond was set at $9,000 and he is required to undergo GPS tracking amid concerns that he’s a flight risk.

WHNS reported that Young and Collins share a daughter who may be a witness in this case. Despite this, the judge did not bar Collins from contacting his daughter while out on bond.

An anonymous donor is offering $10,000 for information that leads to Young. Spartanburg County said Collins is considered a person of interest in her disappearance.
